Wireless Internet Access

If available, you can easily connect your orderbird MINI to the Wi-Fi. To connect your device to the Wi-Fi, go to the main menu on the top left > [Settings] > [Wi-Fi Settings].

Mobile network

orderbird MINI is shipped with a SIM card already inserted. The SIM card works with all German networks and automatically connects to the best available network. The costs for internet connection are already included in the license, so don't worry about additional costs! The data volume per month is 60 MB - again no worries: You won't reach the limit even on daily business with your MINI ;-)

The data volume

… applies only for using the orderbird MINI as a checkout. The establishment of a hotspot, streaming services, etc. are excluded.

If you would like to use additional services or a hotspot, please use Wi-Fi or get your own SIM card for your orderbird MINI.

 

What to do about bad connection?

If the connection is suddenly lost, here are a few tips on how to get your cash register back online.

  1. Energy-saving mode: Check whether the energy-saving mode has been activated by mistake. You can recognize the energy-saving mode by a red bar at the top of the MINI or a plus (+) in the battery symbol. You can find out how to switch it off again here: No internet connection? Check power saving mode!  
  2. Reboot: If energy-saving mode is switched off, restarting your device usually helps. To do this, briefly press and hold the “Off” button on the right and then tap Restart. Your cash register will then search for the best available network again and reconnect.

Please note that the performance of our SIM cards is dependent on local conditions. If there is insufficient network coverage, our options are limited.
